Welcome to Eye Care of Delaware

The Cataract and Laser Center, LLC was established in 1997 to serve as Delaware’s first single-specialty and stand-alone ambulatory surgical center. From there, Eye Care of Delaware, LLC was formed. Today both of these entities operate from our single location in Newark, DE, with residents from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania as patients.

Our Cataract and Laser Center Services

At Eye Care of Delaware we are proud to offer a variety of cataract and laser surgeries and eye treatments. Our knowledgeable doctors and experienced team members will work with you to determine the best treatment and surgery options for your eyes and vision.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery begins with an evaluation with Dr. Boyd at Eye Care of Delaware. During your consultation, you will meet with our staff for extensive testing and scheduling of your cataract surgery at the Cataract and Laser Center. Unlike other cataract surgeries, evaluation, pre-operative assessment, and your cataract surgery will be performed at the same location.

Cornea Treatments

The cornea is a thin protective outer layer of the eye. When the cornea gets damaged due to infection or injury, scars that can affect an individual’s vision may develop. Dr. Mitchell provides our patients who suffer from vision loss due to cornea damage with a comprehensive treatment plan.

Glaucoma Treatments

Glaucoma affects the optic nerve of the eye and is a common cause of blindness. While a glaucoma diagnosis can be an intimidating and unsettling situation, Dr. Mitchell can develop a personalized glaucoma treatment plan to help you.

Refractive Surgery

For patients who are interested in refractive vision correction, our refractive team offers a complimentary appointment to discuss the different surgical options. Dr. Boyd performs a wide array of refractive procedures that includes LASIK, PRK, implantable collamer lens (ICL) and refractive lens exchange (RLE). Our refractive surgical evaluations and procedures are performed at the Cataract and Laser Center.

Eyelid Surgeries

As individuals age, their eyelids may begin to droop due to excess skin and fatty tissue around the eyes. To correct this issue, Dr. Bilyk can perform eyelid surgery that will remove the unwanted tissue and reshape the eyelid. Learn more about how eyelid surgery may help you.

Retinal Treatments

As one gets older, retina conditions such as age-related macular degeneration become more prevalent. At Eye Care of Delaware, Dr. Park provides retina treatments to address retinal damage or degeneration.
