Dr. Jeffrey R. Boyd, M.D. is a Delaware-based ophthalmology specialist providing laser vision correction surgeries such as LASIK, PRK, refractive lens exchange and cataract surgery. For more than two decades, Dr. Boyd has been committed to improving the eye health and vision of his patients.

Dr. Jeffrey Boyd is the Medical Director for Eye Care of Delaware and the Cataract and Laser Center. He is a comprehensive medical and surgical ophthalmologist who specializes in small incision and laser assisted cataract surgery; including extensive experience with advanced technology lens implants.
Dr. Boyd also performs refractive surgery; including LASIK and PRK, refractive lens exchange (RLE) and implantable collamer lens (ICL).
A Delaware native, Dr. Boyd graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware with a double major in biology and chemistry. He then earned his Medical Degree at Temple University in Philadelphia, where he stayed to complete a combined medical and surgical Internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Boyd completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the prestigious Georgetown University and Washington Hospital Center, where he was selected as Chief Resident.
Dr. Boyd is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is licensed to practice medicine and surgery in both Delaware and Pennsylvania. Dr. Boyd is an active member of many ophthalmic organizations and societies and lectures locally to other eye physicians on cataract and refractive surgery as well as glaucoma.
As ophthalmic technology advances, Dr. Boyd stays ahead of the curve. He was the first ophthalmologist in Delaware to offer patients the convenience of “dropless” cataract surgery. Additionally, he was the first doctor in the State to implant the Kamra™ inlay to surgically correct presbyopia.
