Dr. ROCIO C. PASION, O.D. – Delaware Medical Optometry Specialist

Dr. Rocio C. Pasion, O.D., specializes as a medical optometrist. Her long-standing career signals her dedication to bettering the lives of her patients through improved eye health and vision.

Rocio Pasion, O.D.

Dr. Rocio C. Pasion is a board-certified optometrist at Eye Care of Delaware with extensive experience in comprehensive eye care and medical optometry. She provides care for patients of all ages, with a special interest in pediatric vision care, ocular disease management, and pre- and post-operative surgical co-management.

Dr. Pasion served as a primary care provider in the Department of Ophthalmology at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, where she specialized in diagnosing and managing pediatric eye conditions, managing myopia retention, amblyopia, strabismus, and accommodative insufficiencies related to concussion. She is experienced in caring for children with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder, and Down syndrome, and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.

 

Dr. Pasion is experienced in practicing full-scope optometry in high-volume medical and surgical settings, as well as collaborating with ophthalmologists to provide pre- and post-operative care for cataract, glaucoma, corneal, and refractive surgery patients. She also has a strong background in contact lens fitting, including specialty lenses for keratoconus and complex corneal conditions.

 

Dr. Pasion earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Visual Science. She holds an additional Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Spanish from the University of Rhode Island.

 

She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is fluent in Spanish, allowing her to provide personalized care to a diverse patient population.
